Frequenty Asked Questions
Question: |
How can I know I am going to Heaven?
|
Answer: |
1. Realize that God loves you and has a plan for your life. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
2. Understand that all people are sinners. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
3. The payment for sin is death and hell. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
4. Jesus Paid for your sins. Romans 5:8 says that, "... while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
5. We must ask Him by faith to be our Savior. Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Question: |
How can I know God better?
|
Answer: |
Just like any other relationship in life, the believer's relationship with God will not grow unless time is spent with God. God speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, and we speak to God through prayer.
1. If you are going to know what God is saying to you, you must spend time reading and memorizing the Bible. Psalm 119:11 says, "Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
2. "A Christian who does not pray is certain to fail." You must set aside specific times during the day to pray to God. Ask God to meet your needs, to give you strength, and to help you through your day. A Christian cannot get close to God without prayer.

Question: |
What do you offer for children?
|
Answer: |
We believe that God has designed His church in such a way that when it is functioning properly, it will be a place where all people of every age, race, social class and sex can come to be fed spiritually. God has provided spiritual food through His Word that satisfies every longing. With this truth in mind we have organized our ministries in such a way that they provide an age appropriate atmosphere in which children can learn about God in a fun and exciting way. Our children's ministries are designed for children ages 3-12, with a nursery provided for the younger children. For a detailed list of all of our children's ministries please click on the Ministries link above the banner at the top of the page.
