Making a Difference
Jude 1:22-23 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

In our world, it’s easy to underestimate the significance of one. "What can I as one individual contribute to the overwhelming needs of our world, our church, etc.?" But the truth is, No one else can do the things that God has called and gifted you to do, and history is full of accounts of single individuals who have made a difference.
Our Ministry Theme for 2012 is taken from Jude 1:22-23 - “Making a Difference”. My prayer for our church is that our hearts would be sensitive to His leading and that we would be actively seeking to see Him transform our lives so that we may be able to make a difference in the lives of others here in Bay City and around the world.

History With The Church In September of 2004 Pastor Mark was brought in part time to serve as the Youth Director under Pastor Dan Warren. He worked along side of Tim Dulaney in the Youth Department.
In November of 2005 Pastor Mark Kirkpatrick was extended the call of Senior Pastor. He expressed the desire and accepted the call, as he felt led of the Lord to continue ministering at the church. On the first Sunday of that November Pastor Mark was voted in as the Senior Pastor.
In July of 2006, the church held an ordination service for Pastor Mark. Serving on the ordination council were Dr. Dan Dickerson, Pastor Tony Alexander, Rev. Larry Kirkpatrick, and the deacons of South Baptist Church, Reginald Russell, Dr. Mark Bash, and Frank Davenport. Pastor Stan Dulaney served as the moderator. God has blessed the ministries of South Baptist Church with many coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and others being added to the church through believer's baptism and church membership.
