My Friendship Connection Follow-Up

One of our goals for 2011 is to become more consistant in the implemantation of our "My Friendship Connection" Visitor Follow-up Stragegy. This strategy is based off of the Law of 3 Hears and 7 Touches. Studies show that the average person will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior after hearing the Gospel 3 times. The studies also show that a person usually makes a meaningful decision to come back to church where they will hear the gospel again after the church has contacted them seven times - 7 touches (letter, phone call, personal visit, etc.)

Ed Stetzer, Lifeway, recently presented findings stating 89% of unchurched have at least one friend that is a Christian and 78% of them said if that friend, he or she, wanted to tell me what they believed I would be willing to listen. 86% of those who trust Christ will come because of the simple invitation of a friend.

Our desire is to be consistent in following up with every first time visitor and doing everything we can to see that person return, where they can hear the gospel again, connect with our church, and grow in their personal walk with God.
