About Us

At South Baptist Church we believe God's Word provides the only solid foundation on which to build your life. We believe that God has a purpose for every person. That is why we teach and preach the Bible.

It is our desire at South Baptist Church to have a Christ honoring ministry in which all are welcome to attend. We endeavor to accomplish this in our services through Christ-honoring music, unappoligetic preaching of the Bible, Christian fellowship, and service opportunities.

Our Mission

God’s forgiving love for us in Christ compels us to fulfill His great commission (Matthew 28:18-20), by lovingly equipping one another to disciple our congregation, our community and the world.

Our Vision

God has called South Baptist Church to be a caring, growing, spiritually dynamic, Bible based church that is relevant and empowered by God’s love. We will seek to support local and international mission efforts and also strive to develop a life changing relationship with Jesus among our members thru evangelism, exaltation, edification, and extension.

Preamble

The South Baptist Church of Bay City, MI, being a member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC), recognizes the fellowship of other churches of like faith. South Baptist Church is independent in assuming the sole responsibility for its actions according to the Word of God, and to promote good order in its life.
